Israel – Holy Land of Life-Changing Miracles

Someone sent me this beautiful music video about Israel, the Holy Land of the Bible.  I hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch it.  The scenery is stunning and the song that accompanies it is beautiful.  Why should Israel matter to you as a follower of Jesus? There are many reasons, but here are 3 undeniable ones:

1. Israel is where our faith was born. It’s where God promised Abram that all the families of the earth would be blessed in him; it’s where our spiritual heroes like Joshua, Samson, David, and Daniel fought the good fight of faith; it’s where the church was born through the apostles’ witness; but most important, it’s where our Savior was born, lived, died, was resurrected, and ascended into heaven.

2. Israel is where the great world religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam began. To understand the conflicts in the modern world, it is imperative to understand the religious history behind the conflicts in the Middle East.

3. Israel will be the future center of God’s kingdom on earth with its capital in New Jerusalem. Speaking of God’s promises to Israel, Paul insists in Romans 11:31, “The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable!” Consequently, if you’re a follower of Jesus Christ, Israel will be your future home – a Holy Land redeemed by the blood and living presence of Jesus Christ, earth’s coming King!

With these thoughts in mind, enjoy the beauty of your future home. Hint if you have a slower connection: Click play, then when the video begins to download, click pause and let it fully download before you click play again –

  1. I bought this post up while talking to David and Dan at the lake yesterday. We were “solving” today’s problems. Of course globalism came up and thus, it sounded like what you are discussing here. . .

    • I know discussions on this topic are difficult in our culture. We’ve become so politically correct wanting to make all cultures morally equivalent that it’s difficult for people to accept the fact that God chose the children of Israel as the nation through which the Messiah and the Kingdom will come. Most Christians can accept that Jesus is the King of the Jews because it’s historical fact. It’s more difficult for them to stand up for the nation of Israel because of the social pressure to deny that there is something special about the Jews and the nation of Israel. However, when Jesus soon returns to Jerusalem as King of Israel and the world, He won’t ask the opinion of anyone on earth. He’ll do what He as God has determined is right and good. We can either accept it or reject it, but nothing we think will change the eternal plan of God.
